Distinguished ENFSI Contributor Award

Purpose
The purpose of the Distinguished ENFSI Contributor Award is to honour a person who has made a significant contribution to the development of ENFSI.

Eligibility
ENFSI-members (directors), members of an ENFSI (sub-)committee or members of an ENFSI working group steering committee. It can also be a former member of these groups.

Criteria
Achievements (e.g. in ENFSI itself, promotion of ENFSI at the European level or starting (new) ENFSI-activities) must generally be acknowledged.

Awarding Body
The ENFSI Members.

Timescale for Eligibility
Not specified. It may be a lifetime period (oeuvre-award).

Presentation
The award will be presented at the Triennial EAFS Meeting closing ceremony. The recipient will be invited to the EAFS Triennial Meeting and registration fees will be reimbursed by the EAFS local organizer.

Prize
The Award consists of a diploma plus an engraved plate or sculpture.

Decision making process (including timetable)

  • ENFSI-members (directors) can make a written proposal to the ENFSI Board. There is no application form, but the letter should give the reason(s) why the candidate should be awarded. The services rendered within ENFSI should be outlined, particularly in respect of why the work carried out by the candidate constitutes a success or an achievement for ENFSI. All proposals will be submitted to the ENFSI-members. Deadline: 10 days before the Annual Meeting.
  • The ENFSI Board will make - on the basis of the received proposals - a recommendation to the membership. Deadline: 10 days before the Annual Meeting.
  • A secret ballot of the membership will take place at the ENFSI Annual Meeting with the decision being reached by majority vote.

Publication
The name of the Award winner will be published in the:

  • ENFSI web site
  • Proceedings of the EAFS Triennial Meeting
  • ENFSI Annual Report.
