Purpose The purpose of the ENFSI referenced Best Article Award is to encourage an individual (or a team) to publish outstanding scientific articles in forensic science, with reference to ENFSI. Eligibility European forensic scientists. A team of forensic scientists could also be accepted as a candidate. In this case, the team leader (no special definition) must be European. Criteria Scientific article undertaken must have been published (or have been fully accepted for publication) before the deadline for application in a peer reviewed scientific journal and reference must be made to ENFSI. To be more specific, this last point means that the author clearly mentioned he is a member of an ENFSI Institute or acknowledges that the work was carried out as part of the ENFSI working group activities. Awarding body EAFS SC. Timescale for eligibility The three calendar years prior to the year in which the Triennial EAFS meeting is held. Presentation The award will be presented at the Triennial EAFS Meeting closing ceremony. The recipient will be invited to the EAFS Triennial Meeting and registration fees will be reimbursed by the EAFS local organiser. Prize The Award consists of a diploma plus an engraved plate or sculpture. The cost will be borne by ENFSI. Decision making process (including timetable) - Anyone can make a nomination and a completed application form should be sent to the EAFS SC. However, the head of the organisation where the work was carried out, whether an ENFSI member or not, should support the proposal. Deadline: to be announced.
