Terms of Reference amended June 2008

The Steering Committee has amended the ENFHEX Terms of Reference (ToR) in relation to Associate Member status. Full members of ENFHEX have been contacted and no objections have been raised to the amendments. In the attached revised version of the ToR the amended text is shown in red.

Terms of Reference approved at 2005 Business Meeting

The April 2005 draft of the Terms of Reference were approved by the ENFHEX members present at the Business Meeting in Budapest on November 12th, 2005, after an amendment of section 4.1.3 proposed by the steering committee.

Originally this section read:

  • "The Steering Committee should consist of no more than seven persons."

This was changed into:

  • "Seven persons is considered to be the maximum for the Steering Committee. For specific reasons, however, this number may be increased for a certain period, provided that the Business Meeting will approve of this before elections."

A relatively large number of new candidates for the SC might be a reason to temporarily allow a larger SC. This was the case at the November 2005 elections. There were nine candidates, four of them being new. The members present at the BM accepted the proposal to allow the nine candidates to constitute the new SC for the next two years.
